About me.
Where to start, hmmm. The begening is just as good as any I guess. I was born in Houston, TX on Jan 12 '72. When I was about 3 years old my parents started to notice that I would bump into things and get real close to things I wanted to look at. Soon after an eye doctor informed them that I was visually disabled, that my macula (the back part of your eye that consists of rods and cones that helps you see color and detail) had not fully developed. My parents decided not to have any more children since I would be a 'special needs' kid. When I started school I was enrolled in the special education classes, and did very well. When I was 8 my dad took a job with halaburton, and we moved to Big Springs, TX. This was not a happy time for me since the public schools did not have a special education program. Also it was hard to make friends since I was the only 'blind kid' there. My grades were suffering, and my dads job wasn't panning out like it was supossed to, so we moved back to Houston. We settled pretty much in the same neighborhood, and I was able to go back to my old school. In junior high my special ed teacher recommended that I try the Texas school for the blind's summer program. I went 3 summers in a row, and those were some of the best days of my life. I graduated from high school in in 1990, I wasn't at the top of my class, but I wasn't at the bottom either. lol. The 90s were a blast for me. With college and my job at Continental Airlines, it was one adventure after another. In 2001 I decided to quit my job and go back to school to get into the Information Technology job market. Big mistake, as soon as I was done with school, the economy started going through the floor. And when 9/11 hit, well you can guess how bad it got then. In 2002 I started getting into MLMs and home based businesses. I was mildly successful in most programs I joined, making just enough money to pay the bills, but not enough to get ahead. Today I'm in a great program and couldn't be happier. I recently found a new love and she is awsome. For ounce in my life I have a good feeling about the future.
